Fit & Training door thijs

Nowadays there are tons of apps you can download to support your Fit Journey. I like to use apps a lot. They help me stay motivated and keep going even when I’m about to give up. They’re also good inspiration for a nice home workout. To help you make your choice in the labyrinth of apps I’ve selected my 5 favorite health apps for you. Here they are:

Nexercise
Nexercise is an app in which you can log your activities and weight. What I like about this app is that you have great choice in activities to log. This app also really motivates me because it rewards you with xp. If you do a certain ttpe of exercises you’ll level up. I find the reward very motivational, it keeps me going. The app also rewards you with medals if you do an exercise for a certain amount of time. And last but not least, the app is FREE.

Runkeeper
With Runkeeper you can track running, walking, cycling, swimming and a couple of other activities. You can set goals like running a certain distance, losing weight or finishing a race. In the overview you can check how much time you spent exercising and how the progress of reaching your goal is going. You can also add friends and compare their results to yours. I love using this app for running and cycling. I use Runkeeper to track my progress with running and I also use it when I go for a long bike ride.

MyFitnessPal
MyFitnessPal is an app you can use to track what you eat and track your workouts. The app has a really great choice in foods and activities to log. Although I’m not a big fan of counting calories, I do like to track what I eat. I use this app to track my protein intake and to compare my own food logs from different weeks with each other.

Yoga.com
This lovely yoga app contains 289 poses and breathing exercises. What I like about this app is that it describes the exercises really extensively. I also really like the programs you can choose from. My favorite yoga poses are the ‘warrior’ and the ‘half moon’. And when I come home from a long day of work, I love to do some of the breathing exercises to relax.
